No problem.
To disable the requirement to be authenticated perform the following steps.
Steps
1. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS
2. Open the osssearchresults.aspx file with notepad
3. Find and remove at the top of this file the below:
Inherits="Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.LayoutsPageBase"
